Golden Toad Extinction

This mobile that tells the story of the extinction of the Golden Toad who used to live in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve in Costa Rica. Download, print, cut and fold together to assemble the mobile.
Scientists believe that the Golden Toad of Costa Rica has become extinct, caused by global warming. The mist has declined dramatically and the rising temperature in the oceans affect the ponds and rain forests in Costa Rica getting drier and drier and leaving desiccated golden toad eggs already covered in mould.
The disappearance of the golden toad is not just affecting the
amphibians but also the reptile populations and the bird populations.
